A wife, mother, and passionate changemaker, Fonye Kerilah Delphine Epse Kindzeka is a shining example of servant leadership, resilience, and unwavering dedication to uplifting others.
Delphine, who is pursuing a Master’s degree at IRIC (CA2D) in International Cooperation, Humanitarian Action, and Sustainable Development, Delphine as always been driven by a desire to serve. She is a Cohort 10 alumnus of the C-Life Servant Leadership Fellowship Program, a devoted member of the Fixers Life Group, and the visionary founder of Resilient Mothers. This initiative empowers mothers of children with special needs in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
Delphine’s path to humanitarian service took a defining turn in 2017 while pursuing her Master’s in Anthropology at the University of Yaoundé I. Under the mentorship of Professor Scott, a Fulbright Scholar and her Research Methodology professor, she was introduced to Fondation Fact Orphanage Essos.
During her first visit, she held a baby in her arms an innocent child in need of love and care. That moment marked the beginning of a seven-year journey of service at the orphanage. Recognizing her dedication, Professor Scott appointed her as the focal person for the orphanage before returning to the United States.
Taking up this responsibility with passion and commitment, Delphine built a team of 18 dedicated volunteers who actively serve the children at the orphanage. Many of the projects and activities they carry out are initiated and supported by Professor Scott, his family, and friends.
Through her leadership, the team has successfully implemented life-changing programs, including Various Summer Activities, Poetry & Journaling, Time Capsules,
Mentorship Programs to guide and inspire young minds and others.
Today, Delphine serves as the Cameroon Coordinator for Cameroon Connect, further extending her reach and impact.
One of her most remarkable success stories is the motor skills development of a child with Celebral Palsy at the orphanage. Under her guidance and advocacy, the child’s motor skills have significantly improved, and she ensured he received proper education and follow-up care at an Inclusive School in Yaoundé. This victory reflects her deep commitment to ensuring that every child regardless of their challenges gets the chance to thrive.
Joining the C-Life Servant Leadership Fellowship (SLF) in 2021 gave Delphine the soft skills and leadership expertise needed to enhance her impact at the orphanage. Her inspiring journey has encouraged many others to follow in her footsteps—today, 90% of the volunteer team at Foundation Fact Orphanage consists of C-Life alumni who continue to serve these children with love and dedication.
Delphine’s story is a powerful testament to the impact of servant leadership. She is not just changing lives; she is building a movement of selfless leaders, proving that true leadership is not about titles it’s about taking action where it matters most.
Join Delphine and the team in making a difference. Together, we can Transform Lives, One Act of Service at a Time.
